Investigate and Impeach President Trump Over Epstein Connections
To: Pres. Trump
From: A constituent in Seattle, WA
February 28
I am writing to urge you to demand the full public release of all unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files held by the Department of Justice and to support a comprehensive congressional investigation and impeachment proceedings against President Trump.
An accused child rapist is not fit to be President of the United States. Representative Jamie Raskin recently reviewed unredacted Epstein files at DOJ headquarters and discovered troubling information that contradicts the President's public statements. A 2009 email exchange between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell reveals that Trump told his lawyers Epstein "was not a member of Mar-a-Lago, but he was a guest at Mar-a-Lago, and no, we never asked him to leave." This directly contradicts Trump's longstanding claim that he banned Epstein from his club for inappropriate behavior toward spa workers.
When Raskin searched the database for Trump's name, it returned over one million results from the 3 million documents in DOJ possession. Yet the public has only seen a fraction of these files, and the current review process is severely inadequate. Lawmakers can only access files on terminals at DOJ headquarters between 9am and 6pm on weekdays, using what Raskin describes as a "confusing, unreliable, and clunky" database system.
The American people deserve transparency about the President's relationship with a convicted sex offender. The DOJ claims unreleased documents are merely duplicative, but as Raskin rightly asks, if they are duplicative, why not release them? The public should be the judge of what information is relevant.
I urge you to take immediate action to compel the full public release of all Epstein files without redactions that protect powerful individuals. In my opinion, Donald Trump should be investigated and impeached. Congress must conduct a thorough investigation into Trump's connections to Epstein and Maxwell, and based on the evidence, pursue impeachment. The integrity of the presidency demands nothing less than complete transparency and accountability on this matter.
