Impeach President Trump for Threatening Genocide Against Iran

To: Rep. Graves, Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley

From: A verified voter in Moberly, MO

April 7

I need you to begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump immediately. His threat to "annihilate the entire Iranian nation" by 8 p.m. Tuesday crosses every constitutional and legal line. Trump wrote on social media that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again." This is a threat of genocide against 89 million people. Legal experts confirm that the wide-scale destruction of civilian infrastructure he has threatened would constitute war crimes under both international and U.S. law. No president has the authority to commit genocide or war crimes, regardless of the geopolitical situation. This goes far beyond his previous threats to target Iranian bridges, power plants, and water treatment facilities. He is now threatening to exterminate an entire nation of civilians. This represents a clear abuse of power and violation of his oath to uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States. The deadline he set is Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. Congress must act before that time to stop this catastrophic action. Introduce articles of impeachment today and invoke every constitutional check available to prevent mass atrocity.
