The systematic dismantling of democratic institutions and concentration of power under unelected corporate leaders and billionaires like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and J.D. Vance is an alarming threat to American democracy. They are fervent believers in the dangerous accelerationist ideology advocated by Curtis Yarvin that seeks to consolidate power in the hands of the ultra-rich at the expense of everyone else by purposefully destroying our democratic institutions, purging civil servants, silencing dissent, and dismantling the public good for private profit. These billionaires are taking a hammer to our federal government and attempting to turn it into a private corporation run by an unelected CEO dictator, bypassing Congress and the courts. We must resist this authoritarian "reboot" agenda and defend democratic norms, the rule of law, and our system of checks and balances against this blatant power grab by fringe ideologues to hijack public institutions for their radical vision.
