Hello,
I’m a constituent from Walnut Creek, CA writing to express my strong support for the SHINE for Autumn Act, S. 2647 and to kindly ask you to help SHINE pass this year. Stillbirth tragically claims the lives of over 21,000 babies each year in our country, with many of these deaths being preventable, and happening in healthy, low-risk pregnancies. We simply cannot afford to continue to lose babies at this rate. We can and must do more to improve outcomes for moms and babies, and that begins with passing this noncontroversial and lifesaving bill.
The bicameral and bipartisan SHINE for Autumn Act will help to prevent the tragedy of stillbirth by improving research, data collection, education, and awareness. The issue of stillbirth is very important to me because both of my children had a high risk of stillbirth and I was able to get the care ALL pregnant people deserve and they are healthy and thriving. My family, the families of our great state, and those beyond deserve better! The need for action is urgent, please ask Leadership to pass SHINE before the end of the 118th Congress! We are running out of time and are counting on your support! Thank you!
