How shameful to blame Trans kids for election losses. Please have your staff research for you - Trans kids account for 3% of youth. 3%!!! Of that 3% if half play sports - we are talking about 1.5%, and how many of that are the ultimate right wing Boogey man of Trans girls in girls sports?! .75%? Oddly but thankfully Trans boys get much less vitriol. And I can assure you it’s not about protecting girls (see abysmal % of justice served for violence against women, the end of reproductive rights, and the girls bleeding to death waiting routine medical care for miscarriages). It’s ridiculous and violent to scapegoat these kids for political gain. This feckless Centrism is what lost Democrats at the ballot this year, and now we are facing untold horrors like the dissolution of the DOE?! I held my nose and voted for you because I did not want to risk a Republican House majority and we are likely getting that anyway. Friends across the country knew NY’s 3rd District from George Santos and now they know it again - when 2 Democrats immediately post-election came out to blame Trans kids and people for election losses. Embarrassing and disgusting once again! Please do better! It’s going to be a long 4 years, and hopefully only 4 years. We need political leaders to help save this sinking ship and steward us towards America’s true ideals. We do not need anyone using their elected seat and platform to go for cheap political points that cause true harm and violence.
