Please reject HSB242. Iowa used to be known for its strong education system and for "Iowa nice". If we pass this inhumane bill, we will become known for being the first state to REMOVE civil rights for people. Trying to erase trans and other members of the LGBTQ community is heartless and futile. They will still exist. We have SO much actual work to do and SO many actual problems to address, how did removing civil rights for ANYONE become a priority? It's cruel. It's terrifying. It's moving backwards. In the name of education, decency, and kindness, please reject this bill.
