Lies and the lying liars who tell them… This week the FAA abruptly closed the airspace over El Paso for what it initially said would be ten days. Mass confusion ensued, since no one had notified even the mayor of El Paso. Shortly afterward, the FAA reopened the airspace. Administration officials immediately said the problem was drones flown into the area by drug cartels, even such drone flights are apparently common. But then the media reported that the DoD had been testing a new antidrone defense system without signoff from the FAA. As it turned out Pete Hegseth had permitted US Customs and Border Protection to use an antidrone laser near Fort Bliss, where detainees are housed at Camp East Montana. Someone then used the laser without informing the FAA. And then it turned out that the “drones” agents used the laser to shoot down were actually party balloons. Are y’all at all concerned that the DoD loaned a military weapon to CBP, a weapon powerful enough to cause the closure of El Paso’s airspace? And that it was in the hands of someone who mistook balloons for cartel drones? Did you know about any of this in advance? No matter. The initial impulse would be to lie regardless. Meanwhile, CBS reported that DHS documents show that fewer than 14% of the nearly 400,000 immigrants arrested in Trump’s first year had either convictions or charges for violent crimes, with fewer than 2% either charged with or convicted of homicide or sexual assault. More lies exposed. ICE has been expanding across the US in the past months. It has bought or leased new facilities in nearly every state, many of them outside of the country’s largest cities, although they are concentrated in Texas. DHS asked the GSA to ignore competitive bidding rules and hide lease listings out of “national security concerns.” All this is being done because ICE policy has been changed dramatically to assert the right to imprison noncitizens until they are deported. Even if they are applicants for asylum. An unannounced oversight visit by a House Rep to the ICE field facility in Baltimore revealed “60 men packed into a room shoulder-to-shoulder, 24-hours-a-day, with a single toilet in the room and no shower facilities. They sleep like sardines with aluminum foil blankets.” In a statement, a spokesperson for DHS accused the media of “peddling hoaxes” about poor conditions in detention centers. Pathological lying is now official government communication. They lie even when reality smacks them in the face. They lie about shootings of American citizens and others during ICE operations. They lie about elections. They lie about actions carried out by incompetents. And they lie about the Epstein files. The list is endless. DHS has lied about so many things that no one should take them seriously. Should anyone be sorry they’re shut down? And to close, here’s the guy that’s shown them how it’s done… “The Democrats refuse to vote for Voter I.D., or Citizenship. The reason is very simple—They want to continue to cheat in Elections. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP” He intends to change the nation’s voting laws all by himself. Why? Because he lost an election. The Big Lie by the biggest liar of them all. Will you let him, help him, support him in destroying our most precious right as Americans? Or will you just jump on the lying bandwagon that constitutes leadership these days?
