Invoke the 25th Amendment to Remove President Trump

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Veasey

April 6

You must invoke the 25th Amendment immediately to remove President Trump from office. His Easter Sunday threat to attack Iranian power plants and bridges, his statement that he would blow up "the whole country" with "very little" off the table, and his apparent willingness to use tactical nuclear weapons demonstrate he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Trump has declared victory over eight times, said he has won more than ten times, and pushed back his Iran deadlines seven times since March 23rd. This is not strategy. Former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi stated plainly that "The American president has lost his mind." Senator Chris Murphy called Trump "completely, utterly unhinged" and suggested the Cabinet should be calling constitutional lawyers about the 25th Amendment. The conflicts of interest are staggering. Trump is conducting negotiations through Jared Kushner, whose private equity firm has received at least $2 billion from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the same person who urged Trump to start this war. Kushner is simultaneously trying to raise $5 billion more from Middle East governments while negotiating peace. Iranian officials are now refusing to deal with him and Steve Witkoff after they misunderstood earlier negotiations. We are on the brink of nuclear war conducted by a president who cannot distinguish between his family's financial interests and American national security. Invoke the 25th Amendment now.
