I am becoming increasingly fearful for the lives of both American citizens and immigrants in this country following the recent events in Minnesota. ICE cannot continue to be allowed to operate without oversight and with free rein to terrorize schools, churches, and courthouses. I would like to ask you to vote NO on any budget bill that allots more funding to ICE. Support a DHS appropriations bill that prohibits ICE and the Border Patrol’s from carrying guns and unambiguously declare that they do not have immunity under the law if they harm civilians. These people must be held civilly and criminally liable if they harm civilians. They cannot be above the law. They are making this country unsafe for law abiding citizens and residents.
