As of June 2025, the VA has laid off approximately 2,400 employees, primarily probationary staff in non-mission-critical roles. These initial cuts are part of a broader plan to reduce the VA's workforce by up to 83,000 employees by the end of the year. These cuts, along with the recent reveal that doctors at the VA can discriminate against non-protected groups, leave our nation’s service members betrayed!
