I am very concerned about housing people captured by ICE in any facility that is dehumanizing! Representative Wasserman-Schultz toured the place and said it was like a kennel, and the stench based on how they are housed was horrid. This is dehumanizing. Having ICE kidnap people off the street without any pretext they they were grabbed simply due to racial profiling is bad enough, but this is the insanity of the current immigration policy. Something needs to change and it is your duty to see that it does. You were sent to Washington not to rubber stamp whatever the president wants, but to actually be a human being and fight for what is right, and humane treatment of all people is what is right. We are not a Nazi country, we don’t lock people up in kennels for being different, we don’t claim that some evil other is the cause of our countries problems and the removal of a certain group of people will make America great. That is the stuff of Nazi Germany. Tour, take pictures. Show the American people so we can see first hand what the conditions are though we won’t get the odor which is problematic. Treat people with humanity like any ethical person would.
