You have always presented yourself as a champion of women's rights. Now, facing an upcoming administration bent on rolling back progress across the board we need your immediate action. The ERA is a powerful tool to limit government authority, just like other Amendments that safeguard the rights of the individual. We need it added to the Constitution now, by any means necessary. It is not your job to defer to any other branch on this issue, in the opinion of myself and millions of other women (and men!). We contend it is your obligation to exert all the power you have available to serve the People. This Amendment will increase protections for over half of the population, at a time when we expect their liberty in particular to come under attack. Please, do not leave us undefended. Publish the Equal Rights Amendment by simply instructing the Archivist to certify Virginia's ratification as the previous two states' ratifications were already, and publishing the Amendment in the Constitution. We cannot afford to wait. Do the right thing. Thank you.
