ICE is abducting immigrants with no oversight, accountability, or transparency. Reports confirm that people are disappearing from ICE databases, leaving families and communities terrified. This is state-sanctioned kidnapping. I demand that you take immediate action to locate every missing immigrant and hold their abductors accountable. As Lee Gelernt of the ACLU has made clear, the administration is deliberately evading court orders to stop deportations by funneling people through “third country” agreements. People are being deported into countries where they face persecution, torture, or death . This is illegal, immoral, and in violation of international law. You must: • Demand a full accounting of every immigrant missing from ICE custody. • End mass deportations, prioritizing those that knowingly send people into danger. • Reassert Congress’s authority—strip the executive branch of its unchecked power to override the courts and bypass you with unilateral executive orders. • Investigate and hold ICE accountable for human rights abuses. The Constitution is clear: Congress has the duty to check executive overreach. The desire to maintain “decorum” cannot justify silence as human lives are stolen.
