Stand Up Now. Do something! Alaska Is Watching.

To: Rep. Begich, Sen. Murkowski, Sen. Sullivan

From: A verified voter in Anchorage, AK

January 30

I am an Alaskan constituent, and I am alarmed by the authoritarian turn of this administration under Donald Trump. Federal agents have killed two American citizens in Minneapolis. The Department of Justice is refusing to investigate, ICE is openly defying court orders, and judges are warning that federal agencies are acting as if they are above the law. That is not democracy. That is state violence without accountability. At the same time, this administration is demanding state voter rolls, suing states that refuse, and now seizing ballots and election data. Alaskans value fair elections, local control, and the rule of law. We do not accept intimidation, political violence, or federal overreach as normal. You swore an oath to the Constitution, not to a president. Congress still has power, but not forever. Silence and delay are choices, and history will remember them. Alaskans are watching. Do your job. Stand up now, protect the rule of law, and defend our democracy before it is too late.
