Support New House Leadership

To: Rep. Strickland

From: A verified voter in Tacoma, WA

November 6

Congratulations on being part of our incredible nationwide win this past Tuesday! One of the most important things on your desk now is to elect a House Speaker. As a representative of mine, I want you to know: PLEASE do not support Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker. In his time as Leader in the house, he has not shown the backbone nor the vision we need in this moment. To push forward. To build this new nationwide coalition we have. To actually make things happen that work for working people. Please support others who may throw their hats in, like Greg Casar, our very own Pramila Jayapal, or Jamie Raskin. We’re counting on you to read the room and reject the status quo of Democratic leadership. Thank you.
