The head of HHS must be someone who will defend proven measures like childhood immunizations, uphold food and drug safety standards, and strengthen social safety net programs like Medicare and Medicaid. An anti-vaccine activist with a track record of spreading disinformation is the opposite of what we need leading this crucial department during ongoing public health challenges. Please put the wellbeing of the American people first and reconsider this ill-advised nomination that could have severe real-world consequences.
