America isn’t hot. Everyone is laughing at us. No one respects us. No one is desperate to make a deal. We’ve squandered our soft power. Fear of hard power lasts only as long as munitions and oil reserves. Communism isn’t the existential threat to America and Americans today. It’s not 1955. Cuba isn’t making us sick, slashing jobs on AI vibes, doubling energy and consumer goods costs or destroying the rule of law. It’s the delusions of those in power in this country now. Unless you choose differently, it’s you. Stop lying to us. Stop extrajudicial killings. Restore oversight and unmask ICE. Legislate to improve the quality of life for Americans rather than to silence opposition or improve profits for corporations. End blanket tariffs. The President, his cabinet and advisors’ support for these policies is either unserious, ignorant or malevolent. End war crimes. End unconstitutional for-profit wars of choice and wars of religion. Abide by treaties we’ve ratified. Might does not make right. Someone’s God loses every war: see the Crusades. Ban insider trading fully. Buying and selling for the entirety of the federal government, including the executive branch. Or end salaries and benefits for everyone and their staff. No handouts. Restore the Department of Education and funding and regulatory authority to the CDC, FDA and HHS. Today, the American experience is rising government corruption, illiteracy, intolerance, poverty, preventable illnesses, early death and parasite-contaminated food. All signs point to us becoming the shit hole country not remaining a great one.
