Opposing the Antisemitism Awareness Act

To: Sen. Bennet, Rep. DeGette, Sen. Hickenlooper

From: A verified voter in Denver, CO

May 2

I am writing first to thank Representative DeGette for voting against HR 6090. While it is important to stand against hate speech of all kinds, the sweeping definition of antisemitism contained in this bill only serves to stifle legitimate criticisms of and protests against the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank. Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper, I am urging you to follow Rep. DeGette’s example, and vote against the Senate version of this bill.
