No more book bans

To: Rep. Turner, Sen. Moreno, Sen. Husted

From: A constituent in Dayton, OH

March 6

HR 7661 was introduced after the State of the Union - in a push to ban books with anything deemed to have LGBTQ+ themes from public schools nationwide. Historically, legislation like this is used as a sledgehammer to remove access to a wide variety of books- like the Diary of Anne Frank - because of small passages taken out of context. History does not look kindly on people who ban books and censor information. In the words of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, "Don't join the book burners."
