What a morning! I am heartened. It is my understanding that the House Dems will be figuring out who will take leadership in January. I appreciate and respect Jeffries, but I do not believe he is the right person for this position at this time. No slam on him personally - it’s just not the right mesh. I don’t want Dems to seek retribution or payback (gross), but to be absolutely clear: I believe to my marrow that our nation requires a clear focused vision and action plan of ACCOUNTABILITY and CONSEQUENCES. We are not in usual times. This is a new Reconstruction. We don’t have to be mean about it but we MUST be forthright and resolute. Remember how after 9/11, the world unified behind the U.S.? Remember how all that goodwill and potential progress was squandered? Remember how your history teacher revealed how Reconstruction was undercut and unfulfilled? Now is THE TIME to ensure we don’t fall into that again. WE MUST GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME. To survive. Collegiality and calm is not what is being asked — bay, DEMANDED — but the voters of this nation and your district. R2 or Bust. Thank you.
