Investigate Hegseth’s Family & Friends signal chat Re: Yemen strikes

To: Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego, Rep. Hamadeh

April 21

News outlets are now reporting that Pete Hegseth had a separate Signal chat group sharing private information about attacks on Yemen with family and friends both before the attacks and as they occurred. This gross violation of national security would cost an average enlisted soldier both their military service and likely their freedom. So far, it has cost Hegseth nothing. Different spanks for different ranks is a moral killer. But national security violations of this magnitude go way beyond bad morale; they expose the U.S. military to loss of life that our service members should not have to endure. Investigate Pete Hegseth and his cohort’s use of Signal for communications that should have higher security levels. Take actions where appropriate.
