As a constituent I insist that you reject the “Big Beautiful (?) Bill” that will throw 113,979 Iowans off of their health insurance—not only poor Iowans, but elderly, disabled, and cognitively and physically challenged Iowans; children whose only sin is a birth defect or a rare genetic mutation. Do not vote for this bill while simultaneously trying your call yourself a pro-life Christian for it is only by the grace of God that you are not the energy-and finance-depleted parent of such a child. A child who will require care until the end of their life. You should not have to EXPERIENCE it to know compassion for them .
