I am writing as a constituent who is beyond frustrated and outraged. The Department of Justice was legally required to turn over more than two million files related to Jeffrey Epstein in December. That deadline has come and gone. The files have still not been released. There has been no meaningful explanation, no transparency, and no accountability. This is unacceptable. While the DOJ ignores its legal obligations, the public is being drowned in distraction after distraction. It is impossible to ignore the timing. The continued chaos, manufactured outrage, and nonstop spectacle coming from Donald Trump and his allies serves one obvious purpose: to pull attention away from the Epstein files and the powerful people implicated in them. Whether intentional or not, the result is the same—justice delayed and truth buried. Let me be very clear: the DOJ is not above the law. Missing a court-ordered or legally mandated deadline is not a clerical error—it is a failure of duty. At this point, the continued withholding of these files appears intentional. The American people are being denied information that goes directly to government corruption, elite impunity, and the protection of abusers. I am demanding the following: Immediate release of all Epstein-related files, without further delay or redaction beyond what is legally necessary. A public explanation for why the December deadline was missed. Real consequences for those responsible for failing to comply with the law. Congress has oversight authority for a reason. If the DOJ can simply ignore legal deadlines with no repercussions, then the rule of law is meaningless. I expect you, as my representative, to use your power to demand answers and force compliance—now, not later. I am angry because this matters. I am angry because accountability is being stonewalled. And I am angry because the longer this drags on, the clearer it becomes that powerful institutions believe they can run out the clock and the public will forget. We are not forgetting. I expect to see action, not silence.
