Vote NO on the SAVE Act

To: Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego

From: A constituent in Tempe, AZ

April 10

Hello, I’m writing because the House has just passed the SAVE Act. It’s my understanding that the passage of this bill could potentially impact millions of voting Americans negatively in future elections. The United States has increasingly gamified the concept of voting. Between gerrymandering, voter roll purges, and ballot contesting — Americans are missing out on a fundamental right to have their vote mean something. Please vote NO on the SAVE Act when it comes to the Senate floor. Instead, we should be passing legislation for auto-enrolling citizens to vote as soon as they turn 18, provide a government issued ID free of charge or expand on what forms of ID can be used when voting. We also need to crack down on gerrymandering — it is the right of the people to choose their representatives freely and fairly. It is not the right of politicians to choose their voters. Make elections free and fair again.
