Hi, I'm a constituent writing from 91786. I’m contacting you about Trump’s memo freezing all federal grants and loans. It’s destructive, cruel, and, most important, illegal. This order violates the Impoundment Act of 1974. The money Trump is trying to withhold has already been appropriated. The administration doesn’t have the authority to freeze it. We have laws for a reason. We have separation of powers for a reason. We don’t live under a tyranny for a reason—because we fought a war to overthrow it. Please stand up, be loud, tell Trump you won’t tolerate this nonsense.
