Vote No on the Save Act

To: Rep. Roy, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A verified voter in San Antonio, TX

February 6

Our voting rights are under attack. We had slowly moved toward making it easier for all eligible American citizens to vote, which is not to say our systems within any given state is lax in securing our voting system. There is no credible evidence that widespread voting fraud has ever occurred in our country. There seems to be a push for “high security” now at the federal level, particularly coming from the executive branch of our government in wanting to “federalize” elections in order To make them secure. This is absolutely ridiculous. It is an obvious ploy to disenfranchise millions of eligible American citizens from voting. The criteria required maybe easy for let’s say a Congressional person to meet or someone that has adequate transportation and money to go to the needed places to obtain their certified birth certificate or apply for a US passport- many people don’t. The Save Act will do nothing to make our elections secure. Our elections are secure. The Save Act will only place major road blocks against millions of Americans. Those who are elderly, those that do not drive or have a car. Those that do not have the money to pay for documents. In Texas in order to get a new drivers license one must have all the legal proof documents that is one of the criteria for a voting card and to be on the voting poll. Stop this nonsense. Vote, No on the Save Act
