SB1125 threatens online freedom by imposing burdensome age verification requirements on entities publishing material deemed "harmful to minors." This could have a chilling effect on free expression online. The bill also allows internet service providers to maintain blacklists of user IP addresses, raising serious privacy concerns. Moreover, violations carry heavy penalties like damages and attorney's fees, which could further discourage online content creators and providers. Given the severe implications for digital rights, urgent action is needed to safeguard online freedoms and privacy against this overreaching legislation in Arizona. I urge you to oppose SB1125 and protect the open internet.
