The president is back to making psychopathic threats of war crimes on social media and in Fox News interviews this weekend, and the Republican-led Congress continues enabling him. Choosing not to uphold your constitutional responsibilities does not absolve you of others’ actions, but instead your lack of action makes you complicit in the actions of this administration. Reports are coming out in the Wall Street Journal that the president wasn’t stable enough to be in the situation room when the military rescued the downed airman in Iran. There are also copious reports about substance abuse and a lack of fitness of our Defense Secretary, aka “Secretary of War”, and our FBI Director who is supposed to be keeping us safe from the increased threat of terrorist actions because of our own actions in Iran. Now, I’m sure that people will fall in line and make accusations of “fake news media” but when you put all of this in context with the president’s own words and actions almost every day, it’s clear that things are not alright. I’m just curious when my congressmen who are supposed to represent Kansans will stop enabling this dangerous president, his unfit cabinet members, his illegal war (there still hasn’t been any proof that the United States faced an eminent threat from Iran and now reports are circling that he’s preparing the Pentagon to go into Cuba), and start putting the country above one individual in their party. Continuing this war in Iran is destabilizing the entire global economy. Please start doing what’s right, including taking back your constitutional authority over war powers. Also hold people like Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel accountable to their office and ensure they are fit to serve, especially during this time of heightened risk for Americans that is of this administration’s own making.
