Trump Admitted to Starting a War. Congress Must End it!

To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla, Rep. McClintock

From: A constituent in El Dorado Hills, CA

March 28

President Trump openly admits he avoids calling the Iran conflict a war because he knows the Constitution requires congressional approval. At the same time, U.S. service members are being killed and injured, our bases are taking fire, and billions of dollars in weapons and resources are disappearing into a conflict Congress never authorized. This situation demands immediate action. The administration is waging war without Constitutional authority, strategic clarity, or any measurable benefit to the American people. We are burning through money, munitions, and lives while the country faces economic strain and political distraction. None of this advances our national interest, in fact it seriously weakens us. Congress alone holds the power to declare war. You must use that authority now. Vote immediately to deny war authorization and end these unauthorized hostilities. Every day of delay costs lives, drains our defenses, and erodes the constitutional limits that protect this nation from reckless executive action. President Trump has already stated that he started an unprovoked war with Iran. Congress cannot ignore that admission. No more war!
