I wrote to you asking WHY you don’t fund ALL elements of DHS (FEMA, Coast Guard and TSA) while the negotiations continue for ICE (who by the way – IS currently FUNDED). I ask WHY you can’t fund these other areas separately. You REFUSE to answer that question, instead blaming others with the limp paragraph in your response, “This shutdown marks the second funding lapse since the start of 2025 due to a lack of cooperation from Senate Democrats, who continually refuse to compromise. Hundreds of thousands of hard-working Americans are now forced to go without pay or be sent home from work entirely. The cost of this inaction will be in the billions, harming not only our economy, but the security of our nation and our state.” The lack of cooperation Senator is YOU – some ARE willing to compromise. Why can’t you split up the funding bill and fund just TSA and FEMA? You refuse to compromise because you refuse to discuss why ICE is beating, killing, kidnapping Americans all while wearing full tactical gear and masks. That’s why – but you are too much of a coward to say it. Answer me and try again – so here is the question – “WHY CAN’T YOU FUND TSA/FEMA WHILE YOU NEGOTIATE CONDITIONS OF ICE FUNDING?” Find your spine and answer – or be the doormat that you seem to be very good at.
