As a constituent of Corfu NY I write to express my deep concern for the governance of our state. Permitting any criminally corrupt person to retain office & authority, at any level, is a violation of our law & constitutional commitment to protect democracy. The citizens of the state are due the protection of leadership, not fraught w/ the stank of lawless dissent, poised with a commitment to weaponize their political power to deter the ramifications of their own misdeeds & dealings. “Governors are charged by their state constitutions with responsibility to see that the laws are faithfully executed” Adams blatant disregard of law in being a party to an attorney’s proposal of politically motivated quid pro quo should preclude him from holding office on its own merits, let alone the criminal indictment not yet tried. The impact of its reality has already impaled the DOJ w/ the Federal investiture demonstrated in last week’s ‘bloody valentines’ scandal, gutting from the ranks, upstanding, faithful servants, ethically principled & willing to deny the over wielding arm’s abuse & assault of their oaths & duty, to not just their profession but our legal system & the intertwining direct impact upon residents. The acts of these DOJ attorneys while commendable have exposed the eminent & active erosion risked w/in the office shedding light that its legitimacy & integrity may be for not, w/out decisive definitive intervention by both the courts & yourself, as Governor. “The governor exercises executive power & authority over the administrative machinery of the State, including all departments, offices, bureaus, and commissions established by constitutional provision or by statute.” As a tax payer & resident, should Adams be permitted to remain in office, you as Governor, will have played a role in the capitulation, corruption & exploitation of the citizens to whom reside under your care. Additionally, I call to question what confidence residents of this state will have, knowing their Governor permitted their role to be maliciously usurped by the NYC Mayor & Federal Admin within this act. “As chiefs of the state, Governors serve as the intergovernmental liaison to the federal government” Residents faith in law, order, justice & democratic governance will be cast in darkness & disrepute - which given the current state of our federal admin, is already in grave crisis. Permitting the snake reign of the garden will soon be expanded, ever nearer the house. I therefore, urge you to immediately & decisively remove Adams from office, as is your right & responsibility demonstrating to the public that our leadership did not sit idly, bloviating the PR niceties to avoid perception of an ‘arm’s length’ stance, fearing the consequences of their personal poling points in the next election. A leader w/ a modicum of integrity & tenacity to stand tall, stand firm, stand up to, & stand up in the face of fascism. Thank you for your immediate attention in this matter.
