I am writing as your constituent to urge you to stand firm in support of the Affordable Care Act and continued access to healthcare during the ongoing government shutdown. This shutdown is already creating stress and uncertainty for millions of Americans, and the last thing people need right now is more instability when it comes to their healthcare. The ACA has helped countless families — including mine — gain access to essential medical services, affordable prescriptions, and preventive care that saves lives and money in the long run. At a time when so many federal programs and services are being disrupted, it is more important than ever to protect the healthcare coverage that people rely on. No one should lose their care or face medical hardship because of political gridlock. I ask you to continue defending the ACA and to work toward reopening the government as quickly as possible. Healthcare should never be a bargaining chip — it’s a fundamental need and a moral responsibility. Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue and for continuing to fight for the health and well-being of your constituents.
