I am writing to implore you to think outside the box by listening to your constituents and ignoring any pressure to maintain the status quo when choosing new Senate & House Leadership. We the People have voted for change, and are relying on you to rethink leadership roles by considering folks who have shown dedication to the People's needs and wants. Consider someone who will treat Congress' constitutional war powers and oversight duties as real responsibilities, rather than leadership-managed formalities. Choose someone who will act as a genuine check on the executive branch. There are so many strong choices who are brilliant, not in the pocket of big corporations and care deeply about redesigning our United States of America: Jamie Raskin, AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and yes even Pete Buttigieg. PLEASE hear me, hear us, and fight for someone who will hold firm under heavy pressure to lead in the Senate & House! The time for change is NOW.
