The Springdale-based private school that received the most Arkansas taxpayer funds in the 2025-26 school year raised its price of attendance by an average of 24% in the three years since the state's universal school choice program began. I saw this coming. I wrote you about it multiple times. It’s fiscally irresponsible to give state funds to private institutions if we have public funded options. I’m 48. I was raised by a schoolteacher. I know my entire life republicans have not supported public school teachers. Teachers have to fight for raises. We were poor. I don’t trust republicans with education. You are responsible and irresponsible at the same time.
