As your constituent, not a corporation, I urge you to cosponsor H.J.Res.54, the We the People Amendment. Our elections are being bought. Corporations and PACs pour unlimited money into campaigns, and the average American's voice gets buried under it. Citizens United blew the doors open, and Congress has spent years doing nothing meaningful to close them. This amendment fixes the root problem. It establishes that constitutional rights belong to human beings, not corporations or PACs, and that money is not speech, which means the people can finally regulate campaign spending and require full transparency of every political dollar spent.
