NO to an endless war with Cuba

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

May 25

I am writing to urge you to oppose any military action by this Republican administration against Cuba. I further urge you to push for the immediate withdrawal of any U.S. forces or operations near Cuban territory. There is no strategic, legal or moral justification for an invasion. Did we learn nothing from war in Iraq and Afghanistan? Have we learned nothing from the current war with Iran? The American people do not want another endless military entanglement, especially 90 miles off our coast. Launching or escalating conflict with Cuba would destabilize the region, inflame international relations, and put lives at risk for no clear national interest. Today, on Memorial Day, the best way to celebrate is to not put American soldiers’ lives in unnecessary risk. My wife and I urge you to block any escalation of military actions against Cuba. Loudly and on the record.
