Imagine that during Biden's term, he allowed civilians without any clearance at all, and with no Congressional approval or oversight to have full access to the Treasury's database including classified information. What would you have done? Sat back? Figured it was probably for the best? You'd have moved to impeach. Elon Musk is taking over YOUR power more every day. You are allowing the President to usurp YOUR power more and more each day. And you're letting him. If a disaster happens in Ohio, and Elon decided that he doesn't want provide federal aid, will you speak up then? If the President decides to use the military to enforce his orders or start a war unilaterally, will you push back? If the President orders members of the military to fire on peaceful protesters (as he has said he would) would you raise your hand in objection? How many of your constituents will have to suffer before you try to actually do the job you are Constitutionally obligated to do? Give away all your power now and you will never get it back. Stop the President and Elon Musk from usurping Congressional power NOW.
