Veterans

To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley, Rep. Onder

From: A verified voter in Jefferson City, MO

November 11

Veterans deserve to be honored not just on Veterans Day, but every day. The proposed Trump administration rule to cut the Department of Veterans Affairs abortion services, even in cases of rape or incest, is unthinkable. The idea that veterans will lose services that they currently receive, is a betrayal to those who have valiantly served. The expansion of harsh SNAP work requirements includes veterans. Those who have served this country, and especially those who have disabilities, should not be at risk of losing food stamps and going hungry. These new work requirements will undoubtedly cause many veterans to be cut off from SNAP benefits. Taking services away from our veterans is unacceptable! Raise your voice in support of veterans by publicly and legislatively rejecting these policy changes!
