As your constituent, I respectfully urge you to oppose SB 715 if it is considered in the House of Representatives. SB 715 is an unnecessary bill that will increase the risk of blackouts and increase power prices for Texas families and businesses. It will harm economic development in Texas. SB 715 will drive clean energy projects off the power grid and halt new development when we need as much power generation as possible. I support an all-of-the-above energy strategy, and that includes clean energy and dispatchable battery storage. SB 715 is a bad bill for the Texas grid, consumers, and the economy. Please reject this bill.
