Protect the mail/Constitution

To: Rep. Moore, Sen. Justice, Sen. Capito

From: A verified voter in Inwood, WV

May 2

We respectfully demand that you: Publicly oppose and vote against any efforts that seek to privatize the Postal Service in whole or in part; Support H.Res. 70 and S.Res. 147, affirming that the Postal Service must remain an independent, public institution—not sold off to private corporations; Protect the Universal Service Obligation, which guarantees delivery to every address in America at uniform and affordable rates; Reject any restructuring plans that would degrade service, close post offices, or eliminate rural routes. The Postal Service is enshrined in the Constitution and belongs to the people. Privatization would fracture its mission, turning a public good into a private commodity. We urge you to stand with your rural constituents, not corporate profiteers, and take bold action to defend the USPS as a public institution.
