I am deeply concerned about the recent detention of 3 Sackett's Harbor children by ICE. These children are 8, 16, and 17. It was reported that ICE had a warrant for a house on their street, then went door-to-door and that's when they were detained. We all know that they are being sent into facilities with developmentally inappropriate and inhumane conditions, which can have long-lasting effects on kids' physical and mental well-being. Children should not be separated from their parents and they should not be held in detention centers. Please take immediate action to advocate for the immediate release of these children and to support legislation that will end the practice of child detention.
