It’s apparent to anyone who’s paying attention that the federal government has been fully captured.
Many of your constituents would like to see Legislation pass to protect our Citizens and our State’s Sovereignty. In an effort towards such ends, we’d like to propose Soft Secession, specifically defined in terms of Accountability, Independence, & Oppositional Federalism, where:
- Accountability includes States prosecuting federal officials, including ICE Agents who commit state crimes,
- where Independence includes States creating parallel systems like Public Banking, Municipal Broadband, Interstate Compacts that coordinate policy across state lines without federal involvement, and Tax structures that generate revenue streams that the federal government can't touch, all of which reduce our State’s dependence on federal partnership and federal money, and where,
- Oppositional Federalism where States use their sovereign powers to not merely refuse cooperation, but to actively confront and constrain federal authority by State AG’s prosecuting federal officials under state law, through Legislation that creates legal exposure for federal contractors and collaborators who participate in unlawful conduct, through coordinated litigation that forces the federal administration to defend itself, and by aggressive use of state regulatory authority to make federal priorities difficult and expensive to implement.
To this end, we feel strongly that the Bribe is a Bribe Act (Model Legislation found in link, below), that addresses the accountability aspect of Soft Secession, by establishing comprehensive state authority to investigate and prosecute corrupt conduct by officials, including Federal employees, that affect state residents, state funds, or state governmental processes, should be passed into our State’s Statute.
