Every day, 14 people die waiting for a kidney transplant—yet nearly 25% of living kidney donors face insurance discrimination, despite being healthy and carefully screened. The Living Donor Protection Act would ban this discrimination and ensure donors have job-protected recovery time under FMLA. With the bill’s lead sponsors retiring in 2026, we have a narrow window to pass this bipartisan, life-saving legislation. I urge you to cosponsor and support the LDPA.
