Brief synopsis of yesterday’s “Hate America” rallies, aka, “No Kings Day.” Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said, "This hate America rally that they have coming up for October 18? The antifa crowd, the pro-Hamas crowd, and the Marxists. They're all gonna gather on the Mall. It is an outrageous gathering for outrageous purposes…all this has got to come to an end.” “We call it the ‘Hate America’ Rally that’ll happen Saturday,” Johnson said again that same day. “Let’s see who shows up for that. I bet you you see pro-Hamas supporters, I bet you you’ll see antifa types, I bet you you’ll see Marxists in full display, the people who don’t want to stand and defend the foundational truths of this republic. And we do.” “This crazy No Kings rally this weekend, which is gonna be the farthest left, the hardest core, the most unhinged in the Democratic Party, which is a big title,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said. Republican Senator Roger Marshall called it a “Soros, paid-for protest where his professional protesters show up.” House Majority Whip Tom Emmer went one step further and called it an event for the “terrorist wing” of the Democratic Party. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Fox News that the Democratic Party's "main constituency are made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals". AG Pam Bondi suggested that matching signs seen at some protests were evidence of "Antifa funding," implying organizers were paying protesters. The reality must have been upsetting for Republicans. 200,000 people are estimated to have shown up in DC alone. Roughly 7 million protesters showed up nationwide-in large cities and small towns in every single state. Many of them seemed to care quite a bit about those “foundational truths” Johnson pretended to be so worried about. And no protest-related arrests were reported. You can’t plug your ears and yell “antifa” while hundreds of thousands of Americans march peacefully through the streets. Americans who love America. And want their country back. The dark vision the GOP presented is the ultimate gaslighting of America. It’s gaslighting, and it’s coming from the highest levels of US government. And after a day of affirmation that we the people are still here, we care, we love our country, and we recognize the danger the Trump administration presents to our democracy, what do we get from the leader of the free world? Trump posted a video showing him piloting a jet and dropping what appears to be shit on protesters. As one commenter noted, “King Trump taking a shit on America is certainly a message.” The man himself proved the point he’s been making all along. He hates we the people. He has found the enemy and it is us. Will you stand with his vision of America?
