Oppose Save Act

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A verified voter in Denton, TX

April 14, 2025

I’m writing to strongly urge you to oppose the SAVE Act, also known as H.R. 22 / S.128. This bill would make it much harder for millions of eligible Americans to register and vote by forcing people to present a birth certificate or passport in person — even though most Americans don’t have easy access to these documents. It would hurt seniors, women who changed their names, people with disabilities, military members serving abroad, low-income citizens, transgender Americans, and communities of color. There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud. This bill is not about election security — it’s about making it harder for eligible citizens to vote. I am asking you to stand up for our democracy and protect the right to vote for all Americans by voting NO on the SAVE Act. Thank you for your time and for protecting our fundamental rights.
