REJECT BIGGS’ H. Res 7 re “women’s healthcare”
To: Rep. Carter
From: A constituent in Liberty Hill, TX
January 27
Related to H. Res 7 (Biggs): What is your party’s perverse obsession with other people’s private lives? It’s as if your whole party is composed of sexual predators, which tracks since you all have a literal RAPIST leading you. You MUST NOT ALLOW H. Res. 7 to ever become law. Women are not here to serve “the needs of men.” Nothing about women’s health should be legally linked to addressing the NEEDS OF MEN. Are you not the party that pretends gender is a rigid construct? By YOUR party’s logic, if it is for men, it is not for women. Does men’s health correlate to women’s? Where are the laws dictating what YOU do with YOUR body? We are not just your counterparts. WOMEN DO NOT EXIST FOR MEN OR FOR COMMUNITIES. We don’t even exist for families. We are fully autonomous human beings, just like you! Do you have any women in your life? Do you want them subjugated by men? (I mean other than yourself.) Forfeiting their own rights? Dying because they can’t get what is actually routine healthcare (as is already happening here in Texas)? The organization Biggs names in his resolution is clearly a racket for child trafficking and does not allow for many real health options. It is an attempt to normalize infant death and women risking their lives walking around as coffins. These proposals illuminate your party’s rabid thirst for domination. That thirst stems from a clear disdain and undeniable lack of respect for women. It is anti-American, weak, disgraceful, and something Hitler would love. It has nothing to do with life. If you are all so pro-life and you want to “protect women” why can’t you let women live? Why do you not trust DOCTORS AND ADULT WOMEN? These witch hunt laws have saved ZERO babies but we know they are endangering and killing women. And now Biggs seeks to make these archaic sexist laws FEDERAL? NO. We are not slaves! We are not incubators! We are equal and it’s high time a Republican man showed he has the GUTS to stand up to his misogynistic pals. Keep religion away from the laws. Stop trying to dictate how women care for themselves. And do not even think about making a law that says women’s health must address “the needs of MEN.” Do better. Stop risking the lives of the women you love. Stop Andy Biggs and this harmful HRes 7.
