Tell the Justice Department to stop targeting individuals engaging in free speech on social media. The DOJ is subpoenaing social media companies, such as Reddit and X, for user data, including names, addresses, and banking information for individuals that have posted views contrary to the Trump administration’s. The exact reasons for the criminal investigations remain unclear. This is a clear escalation by the US government to identify and potentially silence online opposition to Trump policies, such as ICE. People have the right to express their views within the confines of the law. Dissenting against the administration’s policies is not a crime and shouldn’t be treated as such. Tell the DOJ to stop.
