The US is one of only two countries that allows prescription drug companies to market directly to consumers. Ever since the FDA loosened advertising restrictions the level of bombardment we experience from prescriptions advertisements is excessive. It is not uncommon to see the same commercial at every break. Prescription drug decisions should be made between a person and their doctor not something they are inundated with every time they turn on the tv. We have allowed prescriptions drug companies to get immensely wealthy feeding on the health of the American people with no regard for their well being. The unchecked level of marketing and greed should no longer be tolerated. Follow in the footsteps of other countries that have banned these practices. Step up and protect the American people.
