I’m writing to you as one of your constituents because the economic reality for regular people right now is completely broken, and Washington looks entirely out of touch. If you want to understand what the rest of the country is dealing with, it’s time to cut back. Stop spending taxpayer money on fancy dinners and living expenses. Bring a packed lunch to work. Put a hideaway bed right in your office and sleep there. Take all the money you save from doing that and donate it directly to the people who can barely afford (poison) groceries right now, or to the unhoused people living on the streets right outside the (tacky a$$ gold)White House. It is shameful to see people struggling to eat and survive while politicians live comfortably. Show us you actually care about public service and donate that money back to the community.
