I am writing to you today not simply as a constituent, but as a citizen gravely concerned about the structural integrity of our upcoming elections. For the first time in modern American history, we are seeing the machinery of the federal government being weaponized to cast doubt upon, and potentially interfere with, the administration of state and local elections. According to a nonpartisan analysis by Protect Democracy—an organization awarded a "High" factual reporting rating by independent watchdogs like Media Bias/Fact Check—there is a coordinated strategy to subvert the electoral process: * Weaponizing Law Enforcement: Utilizing federal agencies and investigative powers to manufacture the appearance of fraud, intimidate nonpartisan local election officials, and lay the groundwork to contest legitimate results. * Usurping Constitutional Authority: Relying on executive orders and pressure tactics to override the Constitution's clear delegation of election administration to the states and Congress. * Systemic Disruption: Deploying disinformation and aggressive legal maneuvering to disrupt election systems and preemptively deny certified outcomes. Without free and fair elections, there is no public accountability and no government of, by, or for the people. Federal intervention in our elections is an assault on the core mechanism through which citizens hold their leaders accountable. When you assumed office, you took a solemn oath mandated by Article VI of the Constitution to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. I ask that you publicly reaffirm that oath today by pledging your unequivocal support for free and fair elections this year. I urge you to guarantee to the constituents who placed you in this position of trust that you will use your constitutional oversight authority to do everything in your power to ensure the electoral process remains free from federal disruption and executive overreach.
